
Karen McDonough
Grand Island
Karen McDonough graduated with a BA in Art from State University College at Buffalo, now SUNY-Buffalo State. While living on Grand Island’s West Niagara River, she does landscape drawings of the beauty of God’s natural forces such as sunlight and shadow, the changes in the seasons and weather. She is also working on paintings of trees with interesting insights. Karen has most recently exhibited in the Buffalo Society of Artists 2025 Open Exhibition. In the 2024 Open Exhibition “Collecting Conversations,” she received Second Place. She exhibits regularly at the East Aurora Art Society Outdoor Fine Art Exhibit and Sale and the Island Art Exhibit. She also has exhibited at Burchfield Penney Art Center and Buscaglia-Castellani Art Gallery, the former Castellani Art Museum.
